The Sidama Region Public Enterprises Regulatory Authority (SRPERA) was established following the creation of the Sidama National Regional State. The Sidama people voted in favor of statehood in a referendum on 20 November 2019, and Sidama became Ethiopia’s 10th regional state on 18 June 2020.
